My Awesomely Random Life (and Everything in Between)

Important Characters

Since I am sharring with you, the ups, downs, insides and outsides of my life, it wouldn’t be complete without including this list of crazy and loveable characters. Here are just some of the people that make me smile, make me laugh, make me lucky to be me.

First and foremost, the fam.

My family is my life and I love them to Reese’s Pieces! My mom and dad live just 15 short hours away from me in Georgia and my sister lives just two hours south of them, currently in her second year of college. Unfortunately, I don’t get to see them as much as I would like, but no matter how far apart we are, we still are able to stay close (technology is a wonderful thing!).

My mom-My mom is amazing. She is probably the most caring, thoughtful, selfless person you will ever meet. She is a special education teacher who works with kids who have disabilities; it’s a difficult jo to say the least but very rewarding and I can’t think of anyone who is better suited to do that than her. SHe is originally from CO so naturally, we give her a hard time whenever her beloved Broncos lose to the Pack (which is often). She always has a smile on her face, puts others before herself and takes life as it comes, one day at a time, appreciating every minute of it (now i know where I got that from). I don’t know what I would do without her!

My dad- My dad is my hero. He has always always been there for me, through thick and thin and continues to surprise me everyday. He has been in the Air Force for over 24 years now, honorably serving our country, protecting not only us, but the innocent victims who have suffered or are suffering in other parts of the world. He is an extremely hard worker and has the rest of the family cracking up with laughter at all times. I am so proud of him! He is my baseball buddy and burp contest-competition (I SO own him in that category-probably not something I want to brag about).

My sis- My little sister is my best friend. Growing up she was my side kick, my partner in crime and today, she continues to amaze me. I am so proud of the young lady that she has become–it’s seems like just yesterday when we were arguing over who got to ‘be’ Barbie and who had to ‘be’ Ken. She is in her second year of college and is doing really well. She in constantly the life of the party, becoming friends with anyone she meets. She is kind, caring, and knows when and how to stick up for herself, friends, and family. She is also the go-to for when you need fashion advice (somehow that gene skipped me and went straight to her).

My pup- They say that dog is “man’s best friend”…well, I beg to differ. This pup is “woman’s best friend”. My Thunder has been my confidant, my pal, my big hairy baby for over five years now (it’s crazy how fast they grow up…he was just a puppy chewing on the counters and eating my underwear a second ago!). No matter how bad of a day I have had, he seems to change that all around with just a wag of his tale. It’s amazing how incredibely smart he is (he takes after his owner, after all) and how he can sense emotion. He may be small but he is strong as an oxe (he tends to take me for walks) and has the heart the size of a T-Rex.

And of course all of my awesomely awesome friends–you are da best!
